Volunteer Transportation Service

The ADRC of Vilas County provides a Volunteer Transportation Program for any citizen of Vilas County.  The program is supported by federal, state and local tax dollars. Medical and Nutritional Transportation have been prioritized as it's primary mission.

Passengers 60 years and older and/or disabled are eligible for rides on a donation basis.  Call for qualifications or to make reservations 48 business hours in advance.

General Public Passengers (under 60 years of age/not disabled) are required to pay the total cost of the trip to the Commission on Aging prior to the trip based on mileage.

General Public Fees are: $12.50 for the first 5 miles and $1.34 per mile for addtional miles.

Passenger Policies

Individuals receiving Badger Care or Medicaid are not eligible for transportation to medical appointments if they qualify for transportation through Medical Transportation Management (MTM).  Please call MTM at (866) 907-1493 for information.  

Passengers located in an area that Northwoods Transit Connections (NTC) serves will be referred to NTC for their errands trip needs.

Public transportation in Oneida and Vilas Counties.  NTC has a variety of transportation options including vehicles with a ramp/lift.  Call the office to receive the most current routes in your area.
